ALERT: U.Commerce and OneCard Login Issues TouchNet is aware of an issue impacting some users and students logging in to U.Commerce and OneCard applications this morning. Report: "Possible Issue Detected with Canvas"
Last updateThis inicdent has been resolved. <p>Vendor has resolved this issue and normal operations have been sustained after monitoring.</p>
Cloudfront is still working on the issue with no ETR. Canvas has recovered at this time though, and is stable thus far.
There is a larger issue with CloudFront which is affecting Instructure services. Amazon technicians are working on restoration.
Instructure has acknowledged the issue and they are investigating per their status page. Updates will be provided as they become available.

During this change window, and coordinated with UNC Hospital staff, the major hospital domains unchealth.unc.edu and unch.unc.edu will have their DNS hosting shifted from campus DNS servers to Azure DNS.

Sites are now recovered and operating normally. Earlier incident activity was caused by elevated automated traffic (bots, scrapers, and automated tools) generating excessive requests, resulting in intermittent performance degradation. We are actively monitoring traffic and updating rules to block unwanted patterns, and working with vendors to strengthen protections. The Major Incident will remain open while we continue active monitoring and validation of stability.
The ITS Operations Center has detected an issue impacting Wordpress/sites.unc.edu. Engineers have been engaged to investigate.
