Statusfield vs IsDown
Both products watch the official status pages of the services you depend on and alert you when something breaks. IsDown has the bigger catalog and a public incident page for your customers; Statusfield starts at $20/mo, puts PagerDuty and API access on much lower tiers, and generates audit-ready monitoring evidence that IsDown does not offer at any price. Here is the honest breakdown.

The one thing nobody else has: monitoring evidence
When a security questionnaire or SOC 2 audit asks “how do you monitor critical vendors?”, Statusfield generates the answer: a report of what you monitored, every incident, and proof your alerts were delivered. No IsDown tier offers an equivalent.

Is Statusfield a good IsDown alternative?
For a team that wants vendor status monitoring with alerts, yes — Statusfield starts at $20/mo vs IsDown’s $27/mo, includes Telegram, and puts PagerDuty and API access on far lower tiers. If you need hosted status pages for your own customers or their larger catalog, IsDown is the better fit today.
Does Statusfield offer hosted status pages?
Partly. Statusfield Boards are shareable read-only status pages covering the vendors you monitor — a public link you can password-protect, with your logo and a custom URL on paid plans. Paid plans also include board subscribers: invite people (or let them self-subscribe, with double opt-in) and they get an email when a service on the board changes status, with one-click unsubscribe. Boards can even include your own internal services — Wi-Fi, VPN, internal APIs — with hand-set status alongside the vendors. What we still do not offer is incident publishing: authored “we are investigating” updates on a timeline, the way IsDown and StatusGator status pages do.
Can I get compliance or SLA evidence from IsDown?
IsDown offers weekly summaries and data retention windows, but no audit-ready evidence reports. Statusfield’s Team plan generates vendor-monitoring evidence including proof that alerts were delivered — built for security questionnaires and SOC 2 audits.
Why did IsDown’s pricing change?
Their Starter tier went from $19/mo (2024) to $27/mo (2026), and IsDown was acquired by UptimeRobot in June 2026. Pricing facts on this page were last verified in July 2026.
