OTAVA® Mid-Michigan (MM1) Data Center Utility Power Interruption - 7/18/26 Start Time: 7/18/26 - 9:14 AM ET End Time: 7/18/26 - 7:30 PM ET (Estimated Restoration - Updated) Type: Incident Service Impacting: No - The facility continues to operate on backup generator power. All systems remain operational. Description: This is an update to the ongoing utility power interruption at the OTAVA® Mid-Michigan Data Center. Consumers Energy has extended the estimated utility power restoration time to 7:30 PM ET on 7/18/26. The facility remains on backup generator power and all systems continue to operate normally. Data center operational staff are actively monitoring the situation. All systems remain operational. Description: The OTAVA® Mid-Michigan Data Center has experienced a utility power interruption. At approximately 9:14 AM ET, the building was successfully transferred to backup generator power. The outage has been reported to Consumers Energy with a current estimated restoration time of 2:45 PM ET. Data center operational staff are actively monitoring the situation. Last updateOTAVA engineers have implemented a fix for the issue affecting scheduled Microsoft 365 backup jobs in the IN1 environment. Scheduled backup jobs are now starting automatically as expected, and manual intervention is no longer required. We are continuing to monitor for any further issues.
The majority of DRaaS-powered by Veeam (OCC) jobs in the Mid-Michigan (MM1) data center are now completing successfully. A small number of jobs continue to experience failures. OTAVA engineers are working closely with the vendor to investigate these remaining issues and restore full service. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
OTAVA engineers are investigating an issue impacting DRaaS powered by Veeam (OCC) services in the Mid-Michigan (MM1) data center. Cloud Connect jobs are currently failing, and a Severity 1 case has been opened with the vendor for further investigation.
A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.
