Mobile network outage (upstream carrier incident)
Last updatepostmortemAug 17 · 01:45 UTC
From approximately 4:30am AEST, customers may have been unable to make or receive calls, send SMS, or use mobile data. Some services also experienced difficulty reaching Triple Zero during the recovery period. Telstra has attributed the outage to a software defect within their network. The majority of services were restored by mid-morning, with full resolution confirmed by 4:00pm AEST. Some business services took longer to fully recover. This was an upstream carrier incident outside NetSG's control. We have raised it with Telstra and are reviewing the incident as part of our carrier assurance process.
