Disruption looks to have occurred for less than an hour overnight, with normal operations subsequently resumed. An issue has been identified with BPay payouts, causing requests to fail with a 424 error code. The source of the issue is unknown at the moment, however our teams are investigating as a matter of highest priority. Further updates will be posted ASAP.

Issues with downstream providers yesterday have disrupted regular delivery of BPay batch files, which will result in processing delays. We'll advise as soon as processing recommences, along with revised timelines. Some instability with PayTo services is also still being observed, and we are working with our partners to identify and rectify the underlying issue as soon as possible.

Stability continues to improve, although we're still seeing intermittent errors. We will continue to monitor for any further issues.
Stability of downstream systems appears to be improving, however we don't yet have confirmation that the underlying issues have been resolved. Should the issues continue, customers configured to do so may see NPP payments fallback to DE, while customers without that configuration may see an increase in error rate. Creation of PayTo agreements may also be impacted. Zai continues to monitor this situation closely, and will provide further updates here as soon as they become available.
We've been advised of some system instability in downstream services, potentially resulting in delays to payments or intermittent errors. Our team is monitoring all our systems closely, and will respond to any issues on priority as required. Updates will to be provided here if and as the situation develops.

Zai has identified a disruption to our webhooks/callbacks service on Tue 10th Jan, between 5:30pm and 12:30am. While no payments were adversely affected and our API remained fully operational, this lack of notifications may have caused our customers' systems to incorrectly reflect payment statuses. To address this gap, we will be replaying all webhook/callback notifications missed during this window TODAY at 5:00pm AEST. Please reach out to your Zai Account Manager as a matter of urgency if you have any concerns with this response, and we will endeavour to tailor remediation actions to your specific requirements. Replay activities are likely to take several hours, and further updates will be posted here as appropriate throughout the process.
