The interruption was caused by an update to the DNS nameservers which resulted in rendering the services unavailable to end users. The interruption was resolved within approximately 30 minutes. Starting at 06:14 UTC on 09 Aug 2024 the used storage service access was unstable. Based on the monitoring the service was back functioning at 06:48 UTC. This has caused model sharing read-in and write-out with Tekla Structures versions up to 2023 to fail on the mentioned period. The cloud platform provider is investigating the cause for this to avoid it in the future.

Users with existing license session can continue to use the product. At the end of 2021, we announced changes in Trimble Identity affecting these software versions. It appears there was a issue related to multiple public DNS servers. These DNS servers provide Name resolution services for the internet in general and as a result users connecting to these servers may have experienced issues with numerous services, not just ours. During this time our services were working perfectly but some customers may have experienced connectivity issues as a result.

We have recieved reports of a DNS issue with multiple DNS servers globally reporting timeouts which has had a direct effect on users ability to connect to our services. On December 7, 2021 between 3:00 PM UTC+2 and 3:30 PM UTC+2, Tekla Online Profile service and the Tekla Online Admin tool experienced availability issues. The issues were related to the underlying infrastructure. The issues were resolved by the inbuilt autorecovery functionality. Some Tekla users who were trying to sign in while the autorecovery was going on were affected by the issue. Users who had already signed in and who were using online licenses were not affected.
