We have identified an issue in relation to a certificate rotation which has caused the Preview environment to show a Certificate Error. We are working on resolving the issue.

Last updateThere was a misconfiguration on the domain *.3kit.com, which caused the apps and services hosted on our porter cluster to become unreachable. This issue occurred around 11:15 a.m. ET and was resolved at 12:45 p.m. ET. However, due to DNS caching, some users may continue to experience an outage until the DNS record is automatically updated.

We identified an issue with Google Cloud Platform causing our Preview Environment to be unresponsive. At this time we are beginning to see services restoring. The Threekit Team will continue to monitor our environments closely until an all-clear has been received from Google.

Last updateAround 1PM (October 20th) our team discovered that certain Threekit Players were returning 503 errors. At 1:15 PM the same day we discovered an evicted files-service pod, which was removed and the errors are no longer appearing

Apple's Safari Version 15 release yesterday introduced a bug where users without the setting "WebGL via Metal" enabled are unable to load WebGL models. This may result in players being unavailable on this browser. Users may enable this setting or utilize another browser to work around the issue. We expect to release a fix for this within the next 24 hours.

Last updateThreekit relies on Google cloud's Compute Engine, which has been suffering from performance issues throughout the day. More information on the outage can be found here: https://status.cloud.google.com/incidents/rjF86FbooET3FDpMV9w1 While the incident is ongoing, Threekit is monitoring the Google issue linked above for any steps that can be taken to decrease the effects felt. Meanwhile, Threekit is currently evaluating near- and long-term solutions to help mitigate issues stemming from the demand on the preview environment.
