We have identified an outage with one of our upstream providers, Yodlee, which is impacting feeds powered by them. During this time, some feeds will be unable to be synced or authorized. Mitigations have been put in place, and all new Feed syncs from now on will return transactions swiftly. All synced performed prior to now will have their transaction delays imported by around 90 minutes. If you're experiencing a delay in transactions being imported, please attempt another sync on your feed and transactions will be imported in a timely manner.
Unfortunately a knock-on effect of the outage experienced earlier today (https://status.pocketsmith.com/incidents/xxtp792lq371) is causing delays in transactions being brought into PocketSmith, even after a sync successfully completes. This delay in transactions appearing could be up to 2 hours after the feed has successfully synced. We're attempting to put mitigations in place now for new syncs so that transactions are brought in more rapidly, and will update this notice as things progress. We're sorry for the ongoing inconvenience this issue is causing.

We're happy to report that the fix put in place appears to have worked, and bank feeds are heading towards normal service now. There is still a large backlog of feed syncs and transaction imports to process however, resulting in significant delays (which could extend up to an hour) after a feed has synced for your transactions to be imported into your account. This means that you may have trouble entering your payment details into PocketSmith, when upgrading or creating a new account. Some ASB Bank (New Zealand) customers may have received a security notice email warning about a login from the United States of America. These logins are a normal part of the bank feed syncing process, run by our upstream provider Yodlee. The security notices are being sent because of a change Yodlee have made to the location they connect to ASB Bank from. They are currently connecting to ASB from their United States-based cloud, rather than locally from Australia/New Zealand. We are working with Yodlee to revert back to connecting to ASB locally, which should stop the security warning emails from being sent.

The configuration change has been effective and PocketSmith is back to normal for any affected users. The incident at AWS is still ongoing, and as such we'll continue to monitor.
AWS are currently dealing with a denial-of-service attack on part of their infrastructure, which has lead to the connectivity issues some users are experiencing to PocketSmith. We've implemented a configuration change recommended by AWS which should improve connectivity for any affected PocketSmith users. We'll continue to monitor.
The provider in question, Amazon Web Services, has acknowledged an intermittent connectivity issue which they're actively working to resolve.
The PocketSmith web application may not load correctly for a small number of users. This appears to be due to a global internet issue affecting many websites. If you are affected, try using a different internet connection or tether to your mobile if possible. For advanced users, using a different DNS server should remedy the problem.

Report: "Bank feed syncing is unresponsive"
Last updateWe've been monitoring, and are satisfied that bank feed syncing and addition has returned to normal. The data provider reported that this was the result of an update on their side going badly. We've requested more information from them, and will share any information that comes in. We've been informed that this problem has now been resolved, and bank feed refreshing appears to have returned to normal. We're monitoring the situation, and will resolve this incident once we're confident everything is back to normal. We're sorry for the trouble!
We've found that our bank feed provider is throwing an error when we attempt to start syncing bank feeds. New feeds appear to get stuck syncing, while existing ones are not able to start syncing at all. The data provider have acknowledged the error, and are working on resolving the issue. We'll post updates as soon as we have more information, apologies for the bank feed downtime.
Bank feeds are currently not able to be added or refreshed in PocketSmith. We're investigating now, and will post here when we know more.

Our upstream providers have put a fix in place for this issue, and bank feeds are starting to return to normal. We're now performing remedial actions for those people who were affected by the outage, with missing bank feeds in the Account Summary. We've been alerted that a group of people are unable to access PocketSmith, or are only able to do so intermittently. Upon investigation, we've found that many major online services are also currently experiencing issues. A service provider of ours has communicated that a networking service provider is experiencing some network routing problems. At this point, we suspect that this is the cause of the troubles some people are having accessing PocketSmith. We'll post more information as it comes to hand.

Due to an outage at our upstream provider, bank feeds are currently unavailable in PocketSmith. As a result, bank feeds may not show on Account Summary, or you may experience an error page. We've reached out to our provider, and will update here as we learn more.

Last updateWe've been monitoring the performance of bank feed processing over the past day, and we're now confident that the problem has been resolved.
The problems we were experiencing have been resolved, and all bank feeds processing has returned to normal. We're continuing to monitor the situation to ensure that things stay as they should, and will resolve this incident once we've confirmed.

The workarounds have meant that bank feed connectivity is back online, however processing is slower than usual. Your bank feeds will take longer than normal to update in the user interface when you interact with them, but they will still be functional. We're continuing to investigate a final fix for the issue, and will post more information as it becomes available. We appreciate your patience!
We've applied some workarounds on our side, and the magnitude of the delay is now decreasing. We're still working with our upstream provider to verify the cause of the slowdowns that we're experiencing, but the workarounds should mean that bank feeds are functional again soon. Will post another update soon to confirm when this is the case.

Bank feed request processing is currently delayed. This means that bank feeds in the PocketSmith web application may appear to be slow to respond, or unresponsive when performing actions such as refreshes and entering credentials. The bank feed service has returned to normal. Again, our apologies for the prolonged outage. We'll be working with our provider to understand the cause of the issue on their end and what can be done to prevent its recurrence. We'll keep an eye on things for the next few hours to ensure bank feeds remain reliable.
Our bank feeds provider has informed us the networking issue has been resolved, and we're no longer seeing the intermittent errors anymore. The operations team is working on clearing a backlog that has built up over the outage. We expect to resume full service in about 30 minutes. Thanks for your patience.
