We are aware that most system mails to our users are currently not being sent. This includes user account related mails such as password reset links as well as notifications, e.g. from contact forms or stores. We are investigating the issue. An ongoing technical error is causing some images to no longer be displayed on some Jimdo websites, particularly in gallery and store catalogue elements. Our engineering team has been working on fixing the underlying issue and restoring the missing images. Since January 1st, 2024 we have noticed an increased error rate and have thus reinforced the investigation to find a permanent solution as quickly as possible. Please note that no images have been deleted! While we work an a fix, you can manually restore missing images by toggling settings such as size, image sequence or orientation.

Creator websites whose primary URL is an externally hosted domain redirected using an A record are currently not reachable due to an outage of the service that provides the static IP used. We apologize for any inconveniences caused while we investigate the cause of the issue! A fix has been implemented that resolves the issue for most affected domains. Rare exceptions are IDN domains using special non-ascii characters. We are looking into possible solutions for these cases.
Some domains connected to Jimdo Website Builder websites cannot be opened without the "www." prefix due to missing SSL certificates. The websites can be opened with the full "www.exampledomain.com" address. We're working on a fix ans apologize for the disruption. Jimdo Creator websites are not affected.

A fix has been implemented and the mail backlog is now processed. We will continue monitoring the system, but it seems to be on track again.
We identified that the root cause of the incident is with a third party - one of our mail providers. All mails are currently waiting in a backlog and will be delivered once the underlying issue is resolved. We escalated this incident with them and are waiting for an update. As soon as there is any news we will update this page and our social media channels.

Last updateOn 18 February 2023 starting at 11:55 CST, a portion of our hosted email customers may have experienced email connectivity issues. This issue has been resolved. The impacted mail services were recovered by our Support at 18:20 CST. We have determined this incident was caused by a scheduled process that failed to complete successfully, creating issues with accessing mailboxes. Any mail that would have been sent during this time, was queued and has since been delivered. We do not believe any mail sent during this time would be lost or missing from users mailboxes. A Root Cause Analysis session will be conducted and an Incident Report will be prepared and made available upon request later this week. We have been informed by our Service Provider for Jimdo Mail that if users have special characters in their password (e.g. +,&,%,@, ,-,_) they will be unable to log in to Jimdo Mail. If you are affected by this issue then as a temporary measure you can use the password reset feature and create a new password. Characters A-Z, a-z and 0-9 are not affected.
