A fix has been implemented, and we are monitoring the results
We are currently investigating an issue where new subscribers are seeing an error after they subscribe. The subscription is created but rather than seeing a confirmation page the new subscriber gets a generic error page. We also have a fix for this and are just waiting on the appropriate checks to pass before we can merge it.

This issue has been fixed for FutureLearn users based in China. FutureLearn users based in the UAE may still face some playback issues, but this is still under investigation.

Some users may experience loading delays on FutureLearn due to Cloudflare instances. Cloudflare is a temporary, automated, preventative measure to protect FutureLearn from hacking attempts. Our apologies for any inconveniences caused while it’s in use.

We have restored the majority of assets, however some are still unavailable and we continue to work to identify and restore these as quickly as possible.
Some assets are currently unavailable. Assets include things like images, PDF downloads (such as certificates) and more. As a result, some images on course description pages and inside courses may be missing, and you may not be able to download a certificate. Some emails may also be delayed. We apologise for the disruption. We are working quickly to restore the assets but you may experience some unexpected issues until then.

Our Facebook social sign-in button is now working again. We're sorry for the inconvenience while this issue was being resolved.
Our Facebook sign-in button is still unavailable. The issue has been identified and raised with Facebook, and we await a resolution. We apologise for the inconvenience; in the meantime, please see our earlier update for options to log in if you usually use the Facebook sign-in button.
We've identified an issue with our Facebook sign-in button that is preventing login to www.futurelearn.com via Facebook, and are working to resolve this. Until the issue is resolved, Facebook sign-in users who have also set a password can still log in using their email address and password. Google sign-in is unaffected. Facebook sign-in users who do not already have a password set can use the password reset option ( https://www.futurelearn.com/password-reset/new ) to set a password and log in to their accounts.

At 06:47 (UTC) we were alerted to a huge amount of traffic being flooded to the site. This appears to be malicious traffic sent in an extremely high volume. We have taken steps to protect against the stability of the site.
