We have identified that this behaviour first appeared for many GA4 metrics on March 25, between roughly 2 PM EDT and 3.30 PM EDT (7 PM CET - 8.30 PM CET). Today, on March 26, the behaviour was present roughly between 12.20 PM EDT and 2.15 PM EDT (5.20 PM CET - 7.15PM CET). We're monitoring the situation in case the behaviour re-occurs.

We have identified an increase of the 'Temporary Api Limit' error messages on the Google Analytics 4 metrics in Databox. Since we found no issues in the Databox app and the error messages are the result of actual API responses, we've concluded the behaviour is most likely caused by an issue on the side of GA4. This is further supported by error messages noticed in GA4 accounts that we are using. We will continue to monitor the situation. We identified that we experienced certain data fetching issues in the period from January 9, 2024, to January 10, 2024. Such instances particularly impact those of our metrics that have no historical data available from external APIs - also known as Current metrics. For such metrics there is a higher risk of displaying inaccurate values for the given dates. The issue has been resolved and following a comprehensive investigation into the issue’s impact on metrics, we determined that only approximately 0.1% of all daily synced metrics may potentially exhibit invalid data for the dates of January 9 and January 10, 2024.

On July 14th, Twitter suddenly sunset version 1.1 API endpoints, which we were using to sync your Twitter data with Databox. As a result, Twitter data stopped syncing. In order to obtain data from Twitter, we had to update our integration to sync data from version 2 API endpoints. However, compared to the previous version, these endpoints have considerably larger limitations in terms of what data they provide. As a result, we had to deprecate a number of Twitter Metrics. This means that you will not see any new data for these deprecated Metrics after July 14 (the date Twitter deprecated version 1.1 of the API). We will continue supporting all metrics that we can reliably sync data for in Databox. Twitter Metrics that will remain available in Databox: - New tweets (The Metric Data Type had to be changed for this Metric, so all historical data for this Metric will be lost.) - Followers - Net Followers - Tweets- Following - Following to Followers Ratio Deprecated Metrics: - New Tweets by Retweets Count - New Tweets by Likes Count - Recent Followers by Follow Count - Mentions - Retweets - Replies You will not need to reconnect your Twitter Data Source to start using the newer API version. Data will start syncing again for supported Twitter metrics as of July 17. If you have any questions about this change or need any additional assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support via chat.

Our initial investigation revealed that we are experiencing issues with regular, scheduled syncs as well as with on-demand syncs. We are experiencing a downtime in the Databox App. One of the external services the we depend on is having technical issues and as a result, most of the user interactions in Databox are affected. This includes: loading data, switching Date Ranges, Creating Metrics, connecting Data Sources. Regular syncs are not affected. We have deployed a fix for the syncing issues and we are now monitoring the results. It will take a few additional hours to perform all the syncs that were delayed by the issue.

We are experiencing temporary syncing delays. Affected are scheduled syncs only. On-demand syncs, such as previewing data in Query Builder or in Advances Settings, are not affected. The syncs might be delayed up to 8 hours. The issue can be identified by seeing outdated data on Databoards. We are already working on resolving this issue and will share an update soon.

We are experiencing an issue where the Google Analytics 4 Query Builder is occasionally not working for certain users because Google is returning 500 Internal error for our sync requests. The behaviour has been present since roughly 12.00 PM EDT (6.00 PM CET), August 31. The issue can be identified by the Metrics drop-down menu in the Google Analytics 4 Query Builder not providing any Metrics for selection. We are monitoring the behaviour and will be reaching out to Google to expose the issue that is causing the behavior. We will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.

We experienced an issue with triggering the delivery of Notifications (Scorecards, Scheduled Snapshots, Alerts) today, August 12, between 3.30AM and 6.30AM EDT (9.30AM and 12.30 PM CET). The issue has been resolved, however, Notifications, scheduled to be sent out in the given time period, will be delivered with a delay. We are making sure that all skipped Notifications get delivered to their recipients. We will share updates on the progress made. UPDATE: Vast majority of skipped Notifications has now been sent out. We continue monitoring our queues to make sure that the re-triggering of the delivery will cover all skipped Notifications. Databox application has been unavailable since 5:40AM EDT (11:40 CET). The issue can be identified by seeing the Internal Server error message when trying to access the accounts or no data being loaded. Syncing of data is not affected and is executed according to the normal schedule. We are investigating the root cause of the issue, and will share an update soon.
