The fix has been deployed and validated. We have now begun rebuilding the impacted models but expect this process to take several hours. Live production models are being prioritized for immediate rebuilds while non-production ones will be left to be rebuilt as per their respective schedules in the coming week.

When editing an existing ResultRanking RankingExpression using the new expression builder, multi-value expression @field=(val1,val2) have their parentheses stripped @field=val1,val2 which results in an invalid expression. We detected an issue causing an increased number of cache misses, thus leading to higher latency, on our Content Delivery Network for static.cloud.coveo.com. Customers will experience increased latency when accessing various Coveo web content. The actual queries aren't impacted, however. We are in communication with our Cloud Infrastructure Provider to mitigate or resolve the issue.
Report: "Coveo Is NOT Vulnerable to CVE-2021-44228 - Apache Log4j RCE"
Last updateUpon being made aware of the vulnerability, we used a tool for software composition analysis that allowed us to pinpoint the vulnerable library in Coveo applications. Although some Coveo components were using the vulnerable library, we confirmed that the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) version used mitigated the Log4j attack surface by disabling a vulnerable configuration. We were also able to confirm that no customer data has been affected in connection with this vulnerability. In order to fully remediate the vulnerable component, our teams have taken the necessary steps to update the Log4j library. We are still in the phase of fully recovering our services but we wanted to provide you with an update. At 10:36am EST on December 7, 2021, the Coveo team became aware of issues with a third-party cloud services provider that had impacted multiple Coveo services. The provider has communicated that they have taken mitigation actions that show significant recovery in the impacted region.
