Anthology will be deploying a an off-cycle Blackboard SaaS 3900.114.0 Maintenance Release to Production environments due to changes required to support Safari version 16.3 and earlier. This will be an Ultra UI only change so all sites will be updated in a shorter timeframe and the full build number will not change.While this should address the current rendering issues, we strongly recommend that clients keep their browsers up to date to benefit from the latest security patches and performance improvements.Scheduled for April 14, 2025

The Bb Annotate update for Europe and Africa is now scheduled for April 13, 2025, starting at 7 PM EST.

The planned Bb Annotate update scheduled for April 7, 2025, at 8 PM EST has been postponed. We encountered an unexpected issue during our final upgrade preparations. Out of caution, we have decided to delay the update while we work to resolve the issue. A new date will be provided when available.

Bb Annotate will be updated on April 7, 2025, starting at 8 PM EST. As part of this update, the Document Engine will be upgraded from version 1.2.2 to 1.4.5. This release includes general improvements and optimizations to enhance performance and reliability.Customers in Europe and Africa will be affected.

We have received reports of issues loading Blackboard for Safari 16.3 and earlier users following the 3900.114.0 release. We recommend that impacted users upgrade to Safari 16.4 or later, available with iOS 16.4 or iPadOS 16.4.Anthology's browser support policy for Safari states that we only support the last two major releases of Safari. We always recommend that clients update to the latest available versions when made available for the latest security fixes for their devices.

At 10:14 UTC, we identified a latency issue affecting the AI Design Assistant, resulting in delayed or failed AI responses. This appears to be related to an ongoing issue with the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service in the US East region.Microsoft is actively investigating the problem and is rolling back a recent update that may be contributing to the service disruption. This incident has been resolved and it was observed that clients are operating normally.

Our engineers began investigating an issue where few users are unable to access Learn application. This is impacting APAC region(South east). The site does not load, and users can experience errors. We will provide update as soon as more information becomes available

The data refresh outage is now fully resolved in all regions. The refresh cadence is now back to normal, and any data that was not refreshed on previous days is now available.

We have become aware of an outage of CDM_LMS refresh for most clients on single-tenant CDM_LMS, to the effect that data from Blackboard has not been refreshed since March 21st. This affects most clients in US and EU AWS regions, and is unrelated to the multi-tenant outage affecting clients in other regions. Note that other data models such as CDM_TLM and CDM_SIS are unaffected, but all downstream functions reading from CDM_LMS including Illuminate Reporting will not be up-to-date until this issue is resolved. Data up to March 21st is still available for affected clients.The team is working on a fix and we will keep this thread (as well as status.blackboard.com) updated with progress.

CDM_LMS is now up to date for all the clients on multi-tenant CDM_LMS and teams are working on a fix for CDM_MAP and downstream reports which are still under impact . We will keep this thread (as well as status.blackboard.com) updated with progress.

All document failures have now been reprocessed. We are still experiencing document rendering issues and working with our partner to resolve the issue for clients. A rendering error may still occur intermittently. Please note that this does not prevent submission but may cause confusion for students, as they are unable to see the content properly during file upload. We are continuing to work on the resolution to this issue and it will be included in a future Blackboard release.

The cause of the failures has been addressed and we are currently reprocessing any documents that previously failed. We expect the remainder to be finished within the next six hours. An update will be provided once the reprocessing is complete.

We are aware of an intermittent issue with Document Rendering and we are investigating. The Bb Annotate upgrade scheduled for 1PM EST today will continue to be paused until we have determined the cause of this issue.
