Last updateStarting at 6:05 PM, our payment methods subsystem started having problems serving requests At 7:11 PM we found out that data got corrupted after an incompatible update was made to the database. We started a recovery process from an unpolluted backup, and put up the maintenance page At 8:25 PM we finished the recovery process and the maintenance page was removed

Last updateWhen you users see their account balance, the are presented with a value we keep in our ledger, which in its absolute simplest form is just a database. This number represents their ownership of the Airtm reserve, which is kept separately to ensure its absolute safety. At Airtm, we are constantly upgrading and maintaining the platform throughout the day. The intention is to improve your experience without you even noticing. This is why we seldomly, if ever, have maintenance windows. In this specific incident, one of our systems had a minor error, and the application interpreted this error as a zero balance instead of informing users that a quote of their balance was temporarily unavailable. Moving forward, should this instance occur again we have rolled out an improvement to the platform where instead of showing a zero balance, we notify users in a more transparent and constructive way. Cuando los usuarios ven el saldo de tu cuenta, se les presenta un valor que mantenemos en nuestro libro mayor, que en tu forma más simple es solo una base de datos. Este número representa tu propiedad de la reserva Airtm, que se mantiene por separado para garantizar tu absoluta seguridad. En Airtm, estamos constantemente actualizando y manteniendo la plataforma durante todo el día. La intención es mejorar tu experiencia sin que te des cuenta. Esta es la razón por la que rara vez, o nunca, tenemos ventanas de mantenimiento. En este incidente específico, uno de nuestros sistemas tuvo un error menor y la aplicación interpretó este error como un saldo cero en lugar de informar a los usuarios que una cotización de tu saldo no estaba disponible temporalmente. En el futuro, en caso de que esta instancia vuelva a ocurrir, hemos implementado una mejora en la plataforma donde, en lugar de mostrar un saldo cero, notificamos a los usuarios de una manera más transparente y constructiva.
